Challenge Opposition to form a Shadow Cabinet for a better country...

In its constitutional role, the Opposition no matter from Parti Keadilan Rakyat, PAS or DAP must constantly be questioning, probing and calling the government to account.. Accountable to electorate, to the people trough the Parliament..

After the 12th Malaysian General Election, we have a strong opposition now.. Constitutionally speaking, a strong 'government in waiting'.. I hope that opposition not only is it the function to question, challenge and oppose the government but also puts forward some alternative, practical policies and solutions to the problem.. (ie.Opposition should shape their own budget and compare to the Government budget).. Just let the people to compare and decide who is the real man..

By this way, it's much meaningful than Opposition just will question, challenge and oppose the government.. By forming the Shadow Cabinet by the opposition, it will put Malaysia into a better position.. this is because it would be a much healthy competition than the dirty trick play by either BN or Pakatan Rakyat.. Opposition can be acted as Guard dog towards the government mush effectively and it is going to bring the improvement to the country, to help in correct the Barisan Government and for Pakatan Rakyat to learn how to be a good government.. that's it..

I’m totally disagreeing with your following point of view.

“… Opposition not only is it the function to question, challenge and oppose the government but also puts forward some alternative, practical policies and solutions to the problem…”

The existence of opposition is to balance the power of government in a country. As a law student, you should very familiar with Lord Acton. He said “Power tends to corrupt and absolute tends to corrupt absolutely.”

Opposition are minorities in parliament, they are playing a role to check the ruling party. As minorities, do you think they are able to “fight” with the majority? By the way, Parliamentary opposition is a form of political opposition to a designated government, I don’t see they have obligations to solve the problems creates by the designated government. However their constitutional function is to scrutinize government legislation and action.
