Celebrated around May by Buddhists which marks three momentous events in Buddha's life - his birthday, enlightenment, and achievement of Nirvana. The celebration begins at dawn when devotees gathering at the temples to meditate on the Eight Precepts. Donations, giving food to the needy, offerings of incense, joss sticks and prayers are carried out. The sutras are chanted in unison by monks in saffron robes. The celebration is highlighted by a candle procession.

"MCA REVOLUTION" THINK TANK would like to put forward a question: [1 Malaysia?] indicate how the Malaysian Government (proper phrase to use compare and contrast with KERAJAAN BARISAN NASIONAL) is going to implement the concept of “1 Malaysia”?
Recently, there are threatening from some extreme organizations wish to organize some gathering for anniversary of 13th May 1969 which was a tragedy all Malaysians would not like to mention and would be an obstacle for the government to implement and promote the idea of “1 Malaysia”. So, 13th May 1969 regardless who seduced the grudge between the races is irrelevant nowadays and the government should list it as a sensitive issue to mention and use Seditious Act or ISA to against those people who are going to be threat to the national security.
How the government going to handle extremist such as Ibrahim Ali, president of Malays pressure group - PERKASA who support the movement to ‘memperkosakan’ the fundamental rights of minorities in Malaysia by saying ‘MALAYS have sacrificed a lot for Chinese, Indians etc”?; How the Barisan Nasional’s dominant party - UMNO going to handle its own members such an extremist like Ahmad Ismail who made a racist remarks by alleging Chinese, Indians are “squatters, “pendatang asing”, immigrants etc.? seems no action to be taken against him and huge support from Bukit Bendera, UMNO Division Penang put forward for the wish he will command again as President for UMNO Bukit Bendera Division, Penang again.
Reputable politicians such as the Deputy Prime Minister put forward his view “MALAYS FIRST” which in favour of oppression to minorities in Malaysians and obviously would be racial discrimination, what is the explaination? Hishammuddin Hussein and Khairy Jamaluddin did kiss the “keris” which represent KETUANAN MELAYU as a ‘roar’ to minorities etc. How could we tolerant all these?
Racism is anachronism. Terms such as Malays, Chinese, and Indians should be banned onwards as 1st step towards integration. Only citizens from China should address themselves Chinese, Indians from those from India, ‘Malays’ itself defined in constitution and believed would be ‘artificial term’ hence should be abolished! How to classify those descendants for ‘MIXED MARRIAGES’? Others? Sounds like UNGRADED in examination. How pathetic? In United States, it would be a crime for racial discrimination for mentioning phrase like ‘MIXED MARRIAGES’. ‘Bumiputera’, ‘non-bumiputera’, why must have such demarcation? Those from Malaysia we should only address them as MALAYSIANS. If their predecessors are Chinese, Indians, British, Spanish, just address them as Malaysians with Chinese Origin, Indians Origin, British Origin and Spanish Origin.

With the above, the statements appear prima facie to be correct. But to "MCA REVOLUTION" THINK TANK, the statements appear to be partially correct. Not only Perak Chinese resist Barisan Nasional(BN)’s lure but the Malaysians with Chinese Origin have resist the BN’s lure. First of all, I should make clear my stands on 2 points:
i) Barisan Nasional would be majority coalition ruling party which comprises component parties, i.e. UMNO, MCA, MIC, PPP, Gerakan , SUPP etc of Malaysian Government but not a government in itself. Be wise in using the term such as KERAJAAN BARISAN NASIONAL next time please, BN! It is ridiculous and unwise;
ii) When the society is much desire and evolving, racism is anachronism, we are all Malaysians and of course our predecessors were from China and perhaps we should categories ourselves not as Chinese but Malaysians with Chinese origin.

Perhaps, Chinese, Indians appears to become immigrants during the colonies era, but something to note: At the time of colonies era, Portuguese, British were the people of this country not anybody else. This country belonged to Crown in British but not Sultan-Sultan here at the time. When the country declared independent, Penghuni Tanah Melayu got taken part in starving for independent, who is Tan Cheng Lock? What is Malaysian Chinese Association(MCA)? Since then, when Malaysia was formed in 16th September 1969, our status not immigrants but Malaysians! Please mind the words and think trice before commented.
Chinese, Indians were immigrants but not in the modern era of 20++, even after the year of 1957, the terms Chinese, Indians, Malays not appropriate to use anymore and should become redundant! Chinese for those who from China, Indians for those who from India, ‘Malays’, the terms I have no idea where it comes from, from constitution, manipulated by the racist party UMNO to oppress the minority perhaps like what described by Marxist, ‘religion’, ‘race’ can use by the SUPERSTRUCTURE to oppress the SUBSTRUCTURE, may be, who knows? These are all about the terms, concept of 3 Major races which are practiced by the people intra or inter all the time which are misrepresentation and mislead the people towards the line of racism. Examples to provide, minorities in Malaysia with Malaysian Nationality like British; Portuguese should address themselves as Malaysians with British origin, Portuguese origin whatsoever!

With regards to the limited JPA scholarship and placement local universities, Najib did say Chinese and Indians got another options if they can’t get into local universities, Tunku Abdul Rahman College, UTAR, AIMST etc. This is not an excuse to forbear us to strive for 10% places in MARA. Najib, please don’t simple ‘BOMB’ us! Don’t talk sh*t! UTAR, AIMST belong to MCA, MIC (private education) while MARA (public education) which belongs to government, using tax payers money to supplement for it! To be frank, most tax payers are Chinese and Indians, indirectly we are actually funding for those student in MARA yet they so aggressive, rude while the owner for MARA only asking for 10% in their own funding school! "MCA REVOLUTION" Think Tank Socratic Method School of Thought in the line with those people against sport betting and speak strongly against the sports betting introduced and encouraged by KERAJAAN MALAYSIA (not KERAJAAN BARISAN NASIONAL) which under the governance of coalition majority ruling party named Barisan Nasional.
Why "MCA REVOLUTION" Think Tank strongly speak against sports betting? First of all, it would corrupt the mind of the public and against the public morality. I would like to cross refer to concept of ‘INTEGRITY’ coming out from a legal philosopher, a jurist named Ronald Dworkin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronald_Dworkin). ‘Integrity becomes a political idea of the state when we make a same demand from the state or community taken to be a moral agent, when we insist that the state act on a single, coherent set of principles, even when its citizens are divided about what the right principle what justice and fairness really are’ ~ Ronald Dworkin.
So, since the society strongly speak against the sport betting and based on the concept of integrity which a government should practice it at the minimum content, government should listen to the voice of the people and it would be a moral justification for exercising their political powers decision. In legalize sports betting, instead of raising incomes from the bets; I see no more benefits to the government in the expense of worse impact will come as a result of making such nonsensical and immoral decisions. Hence, integrity condemns decision of the government which fails to defend a coherent ranking of different principles.
It is the principles since centuries ago where government like ancient Chinese government will impose heavy punishment on those who betting. Betting will give false hope to people, once they are addicted to it, they willing to bang all their current assets and/or liabilities into it and try their luck. If they win the bets, good for them but they are still subject to moral culpability; if they so unlucky and lose the bets, tragedies will come to them! Losing money is a less serious consequences compare to those abandoned their family members, hurt their family members physically, mentally etc as a result they addicted in betting. It would have great impact on economy reality of the country and fail to balance the intervals between rich and poor, various classes and the vision in achieving 0% poverty is impossible ever and would be an ivory tower! This would affect the confidence of invested and in long term, it would detriment to the interest of the country.
Beside these, they are lots corns rather than pros in introducing sports betting. It would jeopardize the spirit of sportsmen and humiliate their professions. In the expense of all these, i.e. prejudice against the interest of family members of those who go for betting, fail to command confidence of the public in introducing such an activities, serious impact on the economy etc, I can see no reason why the government should continue with it. So just abolish it until and unless current Government wish to switch over their governance power to opposition easily in next 13th General Election, if so just go ahead with it!
